JOB DESCRIPTION:

My client in the food manufacturing industry supplying their produce to McDonalds, Marks and Spencer, Wetherspoon, the Ministry of Defence, and  many others have a vacancy for a Technical Assistant reporting to the Company Directors and Technical Manager. General Duties: To have clear knowledge and understanding of the Company’s HACCP system Must have an understanding of the BRC requirements Ensure that factory audits (GMP, Glass audit, Factory Maintenance audit etc) are carried out as per schedule Help to control and maintain the Company’s Staff Training Program Assist with Raw Material Risk Assessments Assist the Technical Manager in ensuring that Supplier Risk Assessments, are kept up to date and within the scheduled time scale (E.G. Supplier Questionnaires, Accreditation Certificates) Help maintain and validate the daily Technical/on line paperwork Assist with on line Quality checks as and when required Assist the Technical Manager in the day to day running of the Technical Department Assist in the collection of product samples for Micro, Meat – Fat – Salt, SO2 as per the testing schedule Assist with the taking of Water and Swab samples for Micro analysis as per the testing schedule Assist in the collection and cooking of product samples for Organoleptic analysis (Taste Panel) Be prepared to step in if necessary to carry out any other duties as required by the Technical Manager or Company Directors Working Hours can be adaptable to suit Good Rate of Pay Full Time/Part Time This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/JobSeeking/Technical-Assistant---Food-Manufacturing_job63322833.
