JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are pleased to be able to invite applications from suitably qualified Cardiac Physiologist to join busy, friendly, progressive team at the Alexandra hospital in Redditch, Worcestershire. We have three posts on offer to support our increasing demand for Cardiac investigations. If you are keen to develop your Echo skills these posts are ideal for cardiac physiologists wanting to work towards obtaining their BSE accreditation as we can offer full support to successful candidates. The Cardiology department provides a comprehensive range of investigations including: Echocardiograms, TOE, Pacemaker follow-up and Physiologist supervised Exercise Tolerance Testing. In addition to this, on a rotational basis we support two Cardiac Catheter/PCI labs and participate in the on-call PPCI rota at Worcestershire Royal hospital. Although experience in all of the above areas would be advantageous, candidates with speciality in one of those areas would be strongly considered providing they are willing undertake training in all other areas. Redditch is a semi-rural town which has good road and motorway links. The hospital is situated 9 miles from Birmingham and 15 miles from Warwick. Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust comprises of three hospitals: The Alexandra Hospital, Worcestershire Royal Hospital, and Kidderminster Treatment centre. All sites have good road and motorway links to M42 &M5.
