JOB DESCRIPTION:

Parc Wern is a large, busy care home for up to 58 residents providing general nursing care and dementia nursing care for older people.  The Home is purpose built around a central courtyard with the accommodation on one floor.  Situated in Penybanc, Ammanford, the home offers a modern and supportive environment with comfortable lounge areas and an enclosed central courtyard. Our dedicated team ensure we meet the resident’s individual care and social needs. As a Social Activities Co-ordinator you will have to creatively plan activities to meet the needs of the  residents; prepare, plan and deliver group and individual recreational and occupational activities; ensure the effective, timely and accurate updating of records and case files. Your role will involve getting to know our residents so that you can plan activities to suit their individual needs. We are looking for an energetic passionate person who has the confidence and skills to make a difference to the lives of older people and those living with dementia. We will look to you to think creatively to develop a diverse and engaging programme, enhancing the wellbeing of our residents through providing a stimulating range of activities. Energy and enthusiasm is crucial, combined with empathy in order to listen to and understand our residents and their interests. This post provides the opportunity for the right person to express themselves and develop a fun filled community within the care home setting. You will be a great team person and have the skills to involve residents, the care team and families.
