Overview Our client, a main contractor in the insurance refurbishment sector, is looking for a temp Site Manager based in Leeds. The Client My client is a busy insurance refurb contractor within the refurbishment industry. They are currently tendering on two projects, school extensions based in Leeds, and are looking for a Site Manager to run both of these projects. The Role - Site Manager Reporting to the Contracts Manager, the main purpose of this role is to take responsibility for both school extension sites in Leeds aswell as the following: * Responsible for the adherence to the plan, specification and programme of works. * Required to prepare progress reports, monitor programmes and sign off quality control documents. * Ensure drawings are current, read and related to Site Team. * Aware of cost and managing delegated budgets, working closely with QS to optimise the profitability of projects. * Co-ordinate all Team Members set and update work objectives for teams and individuals. Plan activities and agree work methods to achieve objectives. * Allocate work and evaluate teams, individuals and self against objectives, ensuring that no task is beyond the team members capabilities. * Ensure that induction is rigorously carried out and records completed * Ensuring that all tradesmen have the appropriate material and equipment in order to be able to achieve their designated tasks. * Ensuring that the site environment is satisfactory. * Responsible for the quality of all work carried out on the site whether undertaken by staff or contractors. * Required to identify causes of non-conformance on site, instigate action to control and prevent re-occurrence, including recommending system improvements. * Identify significant environmental risks and ensure their control. * Contribute to the protection of individual and community interests * Liaise on a day-to-day basis with clients and/or their representatives to resolve immediate issues, ensuring their needs at achieved and maintaining a professional approach * Updating the Coins system. The Benefits - Site Management * The hourly rate is £neg * This is a temp contract lasting for around 3 months The Experience Required - Site Manager. To be considered for this role, you must have a proven track record of handling extension projects or other sites, preferably multiple sites. You must also have SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid at Work. This project will be likely to commence from 06.04.16. With this been a school extension, a CRB check may also be required.
