The main duties of the role will be:. To follow the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) professional code of conduct. To be accountable for own actions and those of staff carrying out delegated tasks. To maintain the 6 social care values for resident care: Privacy, Dignity, Independence, Choice, Rights and Fulfillment. Maintain verbal and written communication effectively so as to ensure correct information is transmitted and received by all relevant people. Maintain quality assurance to improve the standards in all areas of the Care Centre. To ensure Health and Safety Policies are adhered to and to take corrective action if safety is compromised. Ensure all documentation completed as required. To administer and document all medication administered to clients, to ensure residents medication is available and to order as required. Be able to supervise junior colleagues and highlight training needs to the Care Centre Manager. To be included in the staff to residents care ratio in order to deliver the highest standard of personal care. Maintain accurate records and ensure that each resident has an individualised care plan. Ensure they are reviewed on a regular basis in accordance with Company Policy. To ensure that staff are actively supporting and encouraging residents to participate in Life Story work by completing, where possible Lifestory Books. To ensure that residents are provided with a named keyworker and that staff are fulfilling the keyworker role. Ensure a clear and concise handover is given to all relevant staff at the end of each shift. Regulations and the Companys Policies and Procedures must be adhered to at all times. All RGNs are responsible for updating their own professional practice to comply with the NMC requirements for maintaining registration. Contribute to the provision of clinical data required for monitoring purposes by the organisation and external agencies as requested by the Care Centre Manager. Participate in staff and resident meeting as and when required. Actively market the Care Centre and promote a professional profile. Working with us.
