JOB DESCRIPTION:

Registered Mental Health Nurse – NHS Cardiff.  Permanent contract - 24 hours per week. Salary £27,534 pro rata (based on 37.5 hours per week). An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, enthusiastic Mental Health Nurse (part-time hours) who is looking to further their development and challenge their ability in a new role. Interserve Healthcare is looking for highly skilled individuals who are reliable with excellent communication skills, to join our contract team of Nurses working for our Cardiff branch. As a Registered Mental Health Nurse for Interserve Healthcare, your main role will be to support the care of our clients and service users both clinically and operationally. Responsibilities include; • To act in accordance with NMC Code of Professional Conduct. Excellent communication skills. • Ability to motivate and delegate effectively. • To be responsible for the well being of patients, ensuring that their physical and emotional needs are met, whilst helping them to achieve their full potential. • To ensure the safe, smooth and efficient running of patient care whilst adhering to the policies of the hospital and registering authority guidelines. • To assess the individual needs of the patient and ensure that they receive the highest standards of clinical care. • To give guidance and training to other staff and provide clinical support as required. • To assist in maintaining safe levels in nursing care, monitoring standards of care and ensuring safe practice. • To maintain accurate records in accordance with professional and legal requirements. • To advise the Ward Sister/ Unit Manager of any concern regarding patients and to keep them informed in a timely manner. • To be responsible for the safe administration of medication in line with company policy. • To supervise closely all duties involved with seriously ill patients. • To assist in the maintenance of a safe and healthy working environment by ensuring adherence to. • Interserve HealthCare s Health and Safety and welfare policies polices at all times All staff will bear in mind the overall objectives of the hospital, namely that patients will be encouraged to  maintain independence and choice in a hospital environment which promotes excellent customer relationships.
