JOB DESCRIPTION:

438/15 Production Manager Seaham An infrastructure, support services and construction group is looking for a Production Manager to work for their timber engineering company based in Seaham. Job Profile: - Manage all materials, plant and labour within the factory - Manage all equipment and facilities within the factory - Manage recruitment of the factory team - Control spend in accordance with agreed budget - Ensure factory output is achieved in line with the production planner - Ensure the day to day allocation of work to all factory employees is clear and concise - Review work packages and work instructions allocating the necessary resources to achieve required completion dates and quality - Liaise with relevant personnel to ensure minimal disruption during the production phase - Identify and minimise material wastage - Manage factory space and yard, ensuring materials are stored in a methodical manner - Ensure both Health & Safety and Quality standards are maintained in line with their policies and procedures - Manage haulage resource efficiently - Report monthly on all areas of factory performance - Carry out random inspections to ensure work instructions and quality standards are met - Ensure that all COSHH, GWRA and Manual Handling Assessments are undertaken in a timely manner - Ensure subcontractors and their equipment comply with relevant Health & Safety standards - Ensure the welfare of the employees under your control - Improve factory productivity and outputs - Reduce factory waste and monitor monthly Candidate Requirements: - Extensive experience in the timber engineering industry - Strong and proven man-management experience - Exceptional commercial awareness to focus on developing productivity - Health & Safety trained with an ability to instill this in the workforce - Strong internal & external client management skills Hours: - Monday-Friday 8.30am-5pm, 38.75 hours per week Location : Seaham Our client is an equal opportunities employer This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/JobSeeking/Production-Manager_job63338255.
