JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client has a fantastic opportunity for an LGV Driver / Operator to drive and operate vehicles and plant efficiently and in accordance with their legislative requirements. Gone is the traditional waste collection and disposal company, and in its place is a progressive and innovative recycling and resource management operation. From user-friendly household waste recycling centres for the general public to some of the most advanced materials recycling facilities and energy from waste plants in Europe. LGV Driver / Operator Ref: 6484 Location: Wareham Dorset £24,545 + Benefits Annualised hours 2340, working 5 days per week between Monday and Saturday Based at their busy Tatchells depot, they are looking for a driver who holds a Category C or C+E licence and has experience of operating LGV vehicles in a commercial environment. This role would suit a self-motivated and positive individual who enjoys working as part of a customer focused team. Duties include, but not limited to: * Receiving routing instructions from the Traffic Office, carrying out collections efficiently, in accordance with the law and the best interests of customers. * Use the correct equipment for the job and see that it is maintained correctly. * Ensure the legal requirements are complied with by following the work instructions provided and EMS procedures as indicated by line management. * Prepare Tachograph Disc as required by law and ensure that hours and working arrangements are within legal limits. * Take all necessary precautions for the safety of people, vehicles and plant as per Health and Safety legislation. * Carry out Driver’s maintenance correctly, at the correct intervals, and report all vehicle equipment/container faults immediately by the approved system.
