JOB DESCRIPTION:

Infrastructure Solutions Team Leader - Fixed Term Contract Overview This position has been created within the European IT Infrastructure Group to reflect the current resource demands of the department to support infrastructure services across Europe. You will manage activities in the infrastructure project team in an IT shared service environment. The ability to troubleshoot and support complex support issues down to the desktop is required. Reporting to the Infrastructure Services Manager, you will provide line management and direction to the infrastructure team of 6 staff with an advisory responsibility for operations. There will also be participation in both 3rd line support and project activities, which will include day to day project delivery, and ongoing remedial and improvement programmes for both internal and customer projects. The user base of approximately 2500 users is based in 60 European locations. Skills/Experience • High level knowledge of networking for both LAN and WAN • Understanding of mail systems with a focus on MS Exchange, to include SMTP, DNS and internet email processing including multi lingual interchange • Experience of designing or contributing to the design of IT infrastructure solutions • Ability to produce relevant documentation and PMO tracking information • Previous history of project management in a customer facing technical IT environment • Technical specialism in one or more core infrastructure technologies • Experience of working in a multi-cultural and ideally global organisation • Microsoft and Cisco certifications a plus The role will initially be a 12 month fixed term contract, with a view to a permanent position being offered.
