JOB DESCRIPTION:

Groundworks Operative Salary: £22k - £27k + Working away allowance (Wind turbine staff get a fixed additional payment per day to cover extra travelling or working away.) Location Stafford, Staffordshire Hours: On Site – 08:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday, (48 Hours in total will be paid which includes some paid travelling time.) Working away from home will be required as most sites are located more than 2 hours from our client’s office. Company Statement: Our client aims to become a world class construction company with a record for delivering exactly what their customers want. To keep their clients forever, and to leave a reputation for honesty, integrity and quality that will outlive their work. Due to growth they are looking for a Groundworks operative for wind turbine work. Role Outline: Helping with the onsite operations of the company s Civil Engineering projects. Normally from £10k to £150K wind turbine bases or access road for solar parks. Other responsibilities include: • Fixing steel • Driving plant dumpers and rollers • Pouring concrete • working as part of small team Purpose: Help the site manager with planning ahead a list of work, which will be worked on safely, at the right time, with the right tools & materials. Our client is looking for someone who is: • Self-Motivated • Enthusiastic • Flexible approach • Experienced in groundworks • Knowledgeable of Construction with relevant previous experience in Civils works • Experienced in driving dumper with a CPCS card, although this is not essential • Able to drive and has their own transport • Located within a 30 minute travel of the office in Stafford, ST19 Interview Dates: August 24th at 2pm and September 11th at 2pm
