JOB DESCRIPTION:

Floor Supervisor PURPOSE To maintain the bedrooms and corridors in a clean, tidy and well maintained condition as specified in the SOPs, by effective team management. KEY RESULT AREAS AND OUTPUTS People Management . Manage, coach, lead and direct the team to ensure that SOPs are consistently met and wherever possible exceeded. . Follow procedure for checking rooms of both self checking and on self checking staff. . Follow procedure for spot checks of public areas, services, linen and guest supplies . Support team members by ensuring appropriate resources in place to carry out duties effectively. . Manage the disciplining and absence management of the team in line with company policies. . Manage and coach team to ensure that all company procedures/policies are complied with. . Conduct Impact Reviews of team in a timely manner, identifying and developing individuals for further development and follow up any agreed coaching/training. . Assist with the recruitment of team members providing accurate feedback to decision maker. . Monitor team members to ensure that Health and Safety procedures are followed. . Coach new employees to ensure that they can achieve the Certificate of Excellence within agreed timescales. . Maintain effective communication within the team, particpating in the daily and monthly meetings for housekeeping and public areas. Customers . Develop excellent working relationships and lines of communication with Guest Service Teams and internal Service Support Teams. . Develop excellent lines of communication and support with Co:ordinators to ensure all service standards can be delivered. . Monitor turndown service provision for VIP rooms daily. . Ensure that all guest queries are dealt with in a prompt and professional manner. Financial . Monitor operating costs, particularly wastage to ensure reductions/improvements can be made wherever possible. . Assist, as required, with the annual budget planning process General . Follow the agreed procedure for storage, recording and easy retrieval of lost property . Follow the SOP for reporting damage, stains, maintenance etc and follow up to ensure appropriate action is taken. . Maintain safe and effective storage of linen items within House Assistants services. . Provide support and cover as required for co:ordinator role
