Our client is a global supplier of precision engineered products supplying directly to major OEM s and 1st Tier Suppliers. They successfully deliver time-critical engineered solutions and pride themselves on their ability to respond to their client s changing needs through; technical innovation, commercial astuteness and a genuine desire to deliver above and beyond the customer s own expectations. They are now looking to for an Environmental, Health & Safety Officer to join their dedicated EHS team. Reporting directly into the EHS Manager you will be responsible for supporting the EHS Department in delivering EHS objectives and targets, promoting best practice by providing advice, guidance and support on policies, procedures and legislative requirements. You will be tasked with assessing production environments and individual modules to identify potential hazards and implement preventative measures to ensure employees work in a safe setting. To do this effectively you will need to assist in creating a universal mind set across the site, whereby potential hazards are identified and controlled by all members of staff. You will be responsible for the delivery of EHS related training (inc. toolbox talks), Risk Assessments, COSHH assessments, REACH compliance, handling civil claims, legal compliance issues, administering and auditing the environmental, health & safety management systems. As the ideal candidate you will be an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety Officer from a manufacturing / engineering facility. Knowledge of maintaining ISO14001 compliance standards would be advantageous as would aerospace experience, neither of which are essential. You will be resilient, highly motivated and well organised, and able to communicate and influence people at all levels. Results focused and able to manage a busy work load with the drive to manage deadlines. Preferably hold the NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent level qualification.
