About the position We are currently recruiting a Disposals Co-ordinator to join our busy Disposals team. We are looking for a well organised, professional candidate who can quickly make an impact within the department. The Disposals Co-ordinatorwill need to have had experience working with customers in the service industry and working knowledge of the car body shop industry. Duties to include (not an exhaustive list) Ensuring daily inspections are carried out internally and by sub-contractors to industry guidelines set by the BVRLA Checking that customers are invoiced only for damage deemed outside fair A wear and tearA as per the BVRLA guidelines and liaising efficiently with customers about this Working closely with Accounts to ensure all invoice information is passed on and details of vehicles to be suspended from VMS / the booking system Performing administration tasks such as filing, maintaining accurate records and completing all documentation to the highest standard Ensuring the security of all vehicles in your control outside of the building Answering queries and attending to the needs of customers and subcontractors in professional and efficient manner, dealing with requests regarding the repair / damage of vehicles Ensuring all daily returned vehicles are in the inspection area by midday with paintwork clean enough to be inspected by assessors Liaising with the Accident Management Department with regards to vehicles returned with accident damage Checking maintenance screen for MOT, date, Speedo change etc Ensuring all reports are kept up to date and made available to the Service Manager Non maintenance contracts - check service records in vehicle and check master hire agreement reference recharges due to non-performance of maintenance requirements and invoice accordingly. Ensuring all current operational policies, operational procedures, directives, instructions, regulations and agreements are explicitly adhered to, including Health and Safety obligations Communicating with the team and senior members of the team any issues that arise, as well as with customers in a timely and professional fashion Ensuring quality, standards and complete customer satisfaction is maintained at all times Key skills Previous experience dealing with customers on the phone and face to face in the Service Industry Working knowledge of the body shop industry specifically of motor vehicle bodywork processes A Class 4 driverA s license Working knowledge of Microsoft packages i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access Numerically competent and have an ability to run basic reports Excellent attention to detail and accurate checking and recording skills Ability to support your team while working on individual targets Professional attitude and approach to work Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet productivity targets Commercial awareness This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/JobSeeking/Disposals-Co-ordinator-Automotive_job63112270
