JOB DESCRIPTION:

Cleaning Team Leader - Social Housing £19,229 - £20,310 per annum Coventry, West Midlands Hours: 37 hours per week One of the largest social housing businesses in the West Midlands is seeking a Cleaning Team Leader to coordinate a team of cleaners to achieve high standards of cleanliness in the estate environment and appearance of the communal areas in blocks. In this key role you will be responsible for contributing to the quality and appearance of our client s neighbourhoods and estates through the undertaking of cleaning and general maintenance and reporting duties. You will organise and delegate estate maintenance staff undertaking duties on behalf of the Group and its clients on a city-wide basis. Duties will include cleaning of all communal parts including entrances, stairs, corridors, floors, walls, lifts, windows, rubbish chutes and bin rooms including tenant areas as instructed. Including washing, mopping, sweeping, buffing, polishing and dusting. The successful candidate candidate will possess GCSEs or equivalent and also general literacy. Basic knowledge of Health and Safety in a cleaning environment is required as well as commercial cleaning experience. The ability to deal with customers, members of the public face to face or via the communication systems in an assertive, polite and tactful manner is essential. You will also undertake some heavy lifting, pushing etc( e.g. move the bulk bins) and to be able to negotiate flights of stairs in the multi story blocks which may be 16 storeys high. Due to the nature of the role you will have the ability to drive, have a full driving licence and own a vehicle which is insured and would be used during work hours. To work flexibly, including Bank holidays, weekends and out of hours to cover the needs of the service.
