JOB DESCRIPTION:

Live-in Care Assistant required to support our Spinal Injury client - Based Worksop area  Pay £95.00 per day - shifts from 2 to 4 days at a time. We are seeking skilled, dedicated Live-in Care Assistants to work with our male client who has a Spinal Injury and an Acquired Brain Injury. This gentleman lives at home with his wife and son in a specially adapted bungalow, he is dependant on his carers for all aspects of care and daily routine. Carers stay with the client from between 2 to 4 days at a time.   Live-in Care Assistants for this client will ideally have skills in: Spinal Injury training to include; bowel care, passive movements, pressure area care, catheter care, Autonomic Dysreflexia. Acquired Brain Injury training, Medication administration training. Personal care. Domestic duties; to include, meal preparation. Moving & handling which is carried out 2:1 using ceiling track hoist. You will also hold a full current driving licence as you will be required to drive our client s adapted vehicle to take him to his day centre and physiotherapy sessions, for insurance purposes to drive the vehicle you will need to be over 25 years of age. You will assist this gentleman with all moving & handling, meal preparation and feeding, personal care including; bathing, toileting, administration of medication including the use of suppositories for bowel management. Our client will require you to assist him with all aspects of daily living including taking him to town or for days out.  In addition to Live-in pay, carers receive an allowance to cover the cost of their food.
