Opportunity for an Assistant Head Housekeeper: We are recruiting for a hospitality professional to join our team, to support the Head Housekeeper in our Housekeeping function, which is one of the largest departments we have on our site. The role reports to the Head Housekeeper and will involve handling all aspects of our housekeeping, cleaning and in house laundry service. We have over 400 bedrooms plus a very busy Spa to look after, so our team work day, evening and night shifts. We have a housekeeping coordinator, and a supervisor in each of our three buildings to support the Head Housekeeper, but the role is hands on, not just desk-based and busy as we have very high standards to maintain and are aiming for a 4 star standard. The role involves man management, supporting running our budget efficiently, training and ensuring high standards, ensuring Health & Safety in the department, and also coming up with new methods and ideas to ensure everything we do exceeds our customers expectations. We are interested in enthusiastic individuals who pride themselves on excellent customer care and attention to detail. Skills Required: * A good level of experience of running a housekeeping team in a 4 star establishment with at least 200 bedrooms * Excellent people management skills * Ability to work any five days out of seven by shift-work and able to oversee any of the shifts * Great organisational and planning skills * Very good verbal and written communication skills * Knowledge of running an in house laundry desirable * Computer literate i.e. good working knowledge of Microsoft Office * Good numeracy skills * Good time management, drive and energy * Smart appearance * Reliability and attention to detail If you would like to apply for this position, please click Apply and send your CV in a PDF format ONLY and a covering letter, stating your current salary and notice period.
