JOB DESCRIPTION:

Warehouse Operative / Delivery Driver Great Places Housing Group is a forward-thinking, inclusive and exciting organisation which exists to improve the lives of the thousands of people living in its portfolio of almost 18,000 homes. Position: Warehouse Operative / Delivery Driver Location: Trafford Park, Manchester Salary: From £16,500 per annum Closing date: Friday 14th April 2016 ROLE: The Warehouse Operative / Delivery Driver will complete day to day operations and efficient and accurate order picking and delivery of materials to operatives. RESPONSIBILITIES: a) Receipting of goods in to the warehouse and processing the related paperwork for deliveries. b) Order picking of materials using a hand held device. c) Deliver stock items to operatives and collect any return items. d) Work with the Logistics Planner to plan optimum routes to and between delivery sites. e) Ensure the delivery vehicle and the load comply with safety regulations. f) Maintain all relevant records of journeys for audit purposes. g) Operate a FLT counterbalance when required. h) Assist with regular stock takes with in the warehouse and operatives vans. ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE: a) Experience of working in a warehouse and of using warehouse based stock system. b) Clean driving licence and ability to plan routes efficiently. c) Experience with using technology in the work place. d) FLT Counterbalance licence. e) Site Health and Safety awareness for yourself and others. DESIRABLE SKILLS / EXPERIENCE: a) Good computer skills. b) Experience in using hand held picking device. c) Good relevant industry knowledge preferably in the housing sector.
