JOB DESCRIPTION:

A Testing Technician job in Birmingham working with 750volt DC systems, conducting diagnostic tests on all tram systems and dealing with new software programmes. Due to an increase in workload, a permanent Testing Technician is needed in Birmingham. Your new role You ll be part of a hardworking team of individual s completing diagnostic tests on all tram systems whilst acknowledging health and safety standards. You ll report to the Shift Supervisor/ Warranty Manager on testing results, fault finds and modification requirements. Your primary responsibility is to interpret schematic diagrams and minimise time of faultfinding and contribute on the new rolling stock for Light Rail System. What you ll need to succeed Your previous experience in a similar role within the rail industry will lead to your success. You will have a strong track record in maintenance of machinery, dealing with mechanical equipment as well as interpreting schematic diagrams. Your electrical biased background will help complete tests on equipment and your PC literate skills will enable you to learn new software programmes quickly. Your initiative will enable waste in resource and processes to be kept at a minimum and your team player spirit will speed the process of resolution of system issues.
