Salary: Completely Negotiable Dependent on Experience Hours: 37.5 hours Monday to Friday Location: Manchester Contract: Permanent Technical Manager Food Industry The Role You will report to the General Manager and you main duties will include… To measure compliance against defined corporate and customer policies, Quality, Food Safety and product specifications through independent audit, continuously improving standards across the site. Promote a high standard of awareness and understanding at site level of all appropriate policies, procedures and product specifications. Facilitate the implementation of Quality Standards by ensuring the necessary training and support is made available to all functions. Ensuring that products are constantly manufactured to specification and that all requests, queries and complaints from customers are dealt with appropriately. To oversee the reporting and actions of non - compliances, to ensure they are corrected and closed out in a timely manner. Work closely with customer representatives. Technical Manager Food Industry The Candidate You MUST have experience of working as a Quality Manager within the food industry. You will also have the following skills, experiences and attributes… To hold advanced knowledge of HACCP and food hygiene certification, along with Food Microbiology and Labelling. Ideally you will be Degree qualified in Food Science and Technology but this is not essential You will have experience of BRC and customer experience. Experience of working within a food manufacturing industry is vital for this role. Good communication skills, with the ability to take responsibility and make things happen. Excellent presentation skills and the ability and confidence to deal with other departments. To champion report writing with a clear and concise presentation of information.
