Senior Quantity Surveyor - Slough Based - Leading Main Contractor. The business:. One of my key clients are currently recruiting a Senior QS to work in and around the Slough area. They are a leading Contractor who have a good name in the market and an established reputation and client base. Being one of top 20 Main Contractors, they have a network of offices across the UK and as a group across various division including Construction, Housing, Fit out, Infrastructure and investments turnover of around £2 Billion. I am currently recruiting on behalf of their Construction division where they focus on a mixture of sectors across Design and Build, New build and Refurbishment projects from small works to projects around £100 Million in London. The business works across Education works where they are involved in several frameworks, Commercial, Hospitals, leisure, MOD and Defence and Residential. Currently, due to growing business demands they are looking to recruiting an additional Senior Quantity Surveyor to join there dedicated team. This is due to them opening a new division and office in Slough in the early stages of 2016. With a strong pipeline of work for the next 2 years and visions of growing the business this is a great opportunity for someone that wants to work for the long term in the Slough area. As this is a new office that is growing this is also a chance for an up and coming MQS who would like to come on board as senior with the chance to prove themselves and progress up through the ranks. You will be office and site based with a few projects that have just kicked off currently you will be responsible for. For the role you will be required to:. Cost control, planning, forecasting and estimation. Valuations - including value engineering and management. Feasibility studies. Cost benefit analysis. Writing reports and preparing documents (plans, contracts, budgets etc.). Risk analysis evaluations. Dispute resolution. managing project funding sources and submitting bid. For this role the right candidate should have:. -Ideally a degree in Quantity Surveying. -10 Years + experience in the Construction industry. -Experience working for a Main Contractor on Build Construction projects. -Able to commute to the Slough area. -Full driving License. For the role my client is offer a competitive Basic of around up to £65,000 and a good Package of Car allowance, Travel paid, Pension, Healthcare, and Standard Pension.
