JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our business partner is the world leader in underwater harbour and marine under water products. They provide high quality aesthetic solutions for marine applications including some of the most prestigious yachts in the world. They are the world leader in this industry through innovation, design and quality being the core of our business practices. All their products are certified by industry approval societies such as Rina, Lloyds and ABS through either Type Approval or Design Appraisal Process (DAD). Responsibilities They have an opportunity for an experienced mechanical design engineer to join their R and D team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing challenging design projects from concept to launch, will have a strong work ethic and be comfortable working to tight deadlines. Generating viable solutions to engineering problems. Resolving technical details, removing ambiguity and producing engineering drawings and specifications. Designing, constructing and appraising prototypes. Generating and managing the bills of materials throughout the product development lifecycle. Building strong collaborative relationships across cross functional stakeholders and suppliers. The ideal candidate will be an established Mechanical Engineer, proficient in Solidworks with a sound understanding of tooling and knowledge of injection moulding, metal pressing and metal extrusions. You will be passionate and hands on with product and have a methodical and innovative approach to problem solving and a strong attention to detail. You will be a strong communicator who builds collaborative relationships and demonstrates the ability to influence effectively. Requirements Working to tight tolerances would be advantageous but not essential. Highly motivated, work well either alone or in a group, and be required to provide project status updates to Senior Management. Proficient user of Solidworks with at least 2 years x0080; x0099; experience in industry. Good level degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master Degree preferred), high attention to detail and an understanding legislative and approval body requirements.
