Senior HR Advisor - manufacturing Salary £30,000 - £35,000 (DOE) Required ASAP Ilfracombe A global manufacturer is seeking for an HR Advisor who has experience in a manufacturing environment to join their large, busy site on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for coordinating and resolving operational HR matters, including employee relations, talent management and absence / performance management. Our client is looking for someone who is self-directed, proactive and able to work on their own initiative. Someone who has strong can-do attitude and who is able to work in a fast pace environment. The suitable candidate will: · 2-3 years experience in HR Advisor role in a manufacturing environment · CPP or working towards CIPD qualification · Have been part of change initiatives · Have SAP HR system experience · Experience in restructuring / redundancy · Has recruitment experience · Job evaluation experience would be beneficial · Manage day to day HR operations · Been involved in ER issues · Working knowledge of employment law and best practice. · Diplomatic, tactful and ability to maintain confidentiality. · Good written and verbal communication skills, including listening and counselling and the ability to positively influence. · Attention to detail conscious Main duties: In conjunction with the HR Manager: · Advise managers on all human resource issues, in accordance with employment law, best practice, policies and procedures and terms and conditions of employment. · In conjunction with both the Recruitment Centre of Excellence and the Hiring Manager, coordinate the recruitment and selection of employees in line with the talent plan. · Coordinate the recruitment of temporary employees (Indirect). · In conjunction with the Talent Centre for Excellence, support managers in training and development, as appropriate. · Ensure company absence management policy is adhered to and applied consistently. Advise managers on absence issues, ensuring long-term corrective solutions. · The compilation of a monthly report outlining key HR activities, trends and progress against KPIs and site / department objectives as well as ensuring visual management displays are kept up to date where appropriate. · Ensure HR policies, procedures and site / departmental rules are communicated appropriately; ensuring key information is passed on in an effective manner as directed by the HR Manager. · Coordinate the annual Performance Appraisal Scheme for all employees to ensure the continued development of employees · Coordinate the utilisation of well-being Provision including Occupational Health, Osteopath and Counselling and other such initiatives as may be introduced. · Responsible for the accuracy of employee data held in the computerised HR system. · Provide advice and support to employees on HR and employment matters including policy interpretation. · To liaise with the Business Compliance Officer in relation to Ethics and compliance. There will be other duties and requirements associated with your job and, in addition, as a term of your employment you may be required to undertake various other duties as may reasonably be required.
