JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Company Our client is a leading main contractor specializing in all aspects of commercial interior fit out and refurbishment across the workplace and education sectors. They cover traditional build, design & build and detail & build projects. Over the years they have built up an enviable reputation and are now enjoying solid and profitable growth. Therefore they are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join their team. The Senior Estimator Role Initial Projects: The successful candidate will be working on a number of office refurbishment contracts across the region, working out of their West Midlands office but managing contract on a nationwide basis. Duties: Managerial Duties Log all Estimating enquiries, review content, assign to most suitable Estimator. Liaise with BDMs with regards enquiry requirements and Bid Submission documents and assign to members of the team. Be an active part of the business development part of the business. Liaise with Senior Management with regards and commercial approach. Review current Estimating procedures, and recommend/implement changes. Review current Costing modules, external resources/manufacturers, charge rates, material suppliers (in conjunction with our buying department) and recommend/implement changes. Head/attend tender adjudication meetings. General Estimating Duties Carry out site visits, check site surveys, conduct meetings with client, Landlords and Contractors. Attend pre tender, mid tender and post submission interviews with clients representatives. Interrogate schedules/scope and split enquiries into suitable packages, cost centres etc. Prepare and issue Sub-Contract enquiries evaluate SC quotations etc Prepare full comprehensive Net costs including: First Principles Estimating, Preliminaries, SC packages. Attend internal adjudication meetings, present costing and share thoughts on alternative submission solutions. Prepare tender return/submission documents. Co-ordination of same using other members of the business (Marketing, Business Development). Contribute and assist with other members of the commercial team. Assist Project Surveyors in preparation of variations, accounts etc. The Estimator Package An attractive salary from £50k - £70k + package (dependent on experience) will be offered to the successful candidate, including a car or car allowance + benefits.
