Security Consultants applying should have the ability to, and can demonstrate experience in at least two of the following: Identity and access management (including product knowledge) Cloud security tools, e.g. tokenisation Web security and SSO protocols Data security (for instance, Data Loss Prevention or DRM) Network security products, e.g. Intrusion Prevention Systems, Firewalls Mobility (securing mobile data and devices) Audit event recording and analysis/Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) This is a client facing role which requires good presentation and communication skills as well as being able to demonstrate their technical abilities. In addition any of the following would be of advantage: - Experience with or awareness of enterprise architecture methods such as IAF, or TOGAF - Awareness of ITIL IT Management concepts - Risk management - CESG Certified Professional status Key Responsibilities: - Provide infrastructure security consulting and advisory services to our clients - Provide Security architecture and design solutions to our clients - Provide input to bids and assist in presenting proposals to potential clients. - Provide input to and/or create specialist points of view for the market and where appropriate present at industry events. - Work with Customer Managers, Technical Architects and Solution Designers on client site Technologies Used: Demonstrable experience of design and deployment of at least 2 major security technology sets from Microsoft, IBM, EMC/RSA, Oracle, McAfee, Dell, Splunk, Palo Alto, Airwatch, MobileIron, Ciphercloud, Perspecsys or similar. Personal Attributes: - Extensive experience of and participation in delivery of secure technical solutions. - Strong client-facing consulting skills. - Ability to balance risk against other requirements like usability, agility, cost. - Can evaluate possible alternative solutions to security requirements and make well-reasoned cases for the way forward. - Understand cost, advantages and disadvantages of various alternative solutions. - Project delivery experience. Desirable: - Business development skills - Team leadership skills and experience. - Track-record of reporting at senior technical or non-technical level Personal Qualities: - Fast learner and good flexibility - Good people and conflict resolution skills - Used to working in groups or teams Education & qualifications: BSc/BEng/MSc in engineering, IT security, computer science, physics, information technology or related field or equivalent. Relevant security vendor certifications are desirable.
