JOB DESCRIPTION:

Logistics Manager - Global Organisation South Wales 1899/900 £45,000 + 20% BONUS A leading worldwide supplier is looking to add a Purchasing and Logistics Manager to its Senior Management team. The successful candidate will be managing the Logistics, Planning, Warehousing and Purchasing department and will be required to take on the following responsibilities: Manage day-to-day supply and logistics activities to maximise the efficiency, reliability, timeliness, and cost effectiveness of the organisation s supply chain. Develop and implement supply and logistics plans, schedules and procedures; allocate labour and capital resources to meet targets. Liaise with functional and operational area managers (for example in customer service, sales and production planning) to ensure that supply and activities are integrated with other parts of the business. Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop supply and logistics staff to ensure that resources are used effectively and that work schedules and targets are met. Candidates will need to have proven experience of managing multiple departments within a manufacturing function. Ideally you will have extensive knowledge and understanding of planning/material scheduling and have a hands on approach coupled with strategic capability.
