JOB DESCRIPTION:

Junior Project Manager Quant Capital is urgently looking for a junior project manager to join our high profile client. Our client is a well known financial technology company who provide solutions across the trading platform and market data space. They are well known for their bleeding edge technology and growth. The Project Manager works closely with Clients, Operations, Development and Sales teams to provide support to all areas. The Consultant will participate in client projects, internal projects and manage clients through development release upgrades where required. You will be responsible for running your own projects as well as working closely with presales. On a day to day basis the Project Manager will work with: · Client Project Management · Client Relationships & reporting · Solution requirements and specifications · Internal mentoring · Day-to-day management of one or more projects as assigned. · Project initiation, including: Preparing and agreeing project Terms of Reference documents. · Setting up and chairing steering group meetings. · Carrying out project risk assessments. · Project estimating and planning, including: Preparing and agreeing project estimates and plans. · Controlling the project against the agreed project plan and the terms of reference. · Ensuring that projects are delivered within the agreed release cycle. · Managing project issues and risks. · Delivering project against agreed plans and to budget · Ensuring project quality The role requires the candidate to work independently, and is collaborative in nature. The Project Manger should be adept at problem solving through innovation, making confident decisions under pressure with aggressive timeframes and enjoy successfully overseeing a number of projects of differing scales. Junior Project Managers must have: Degree in Computer Science or Finance IT literate Some experience in a technology driven firm Ideally Prince 2 but this is also a course offered Background in project management Analytical skills / Problem Solving Excellent communication skills Experience of business analysis This role suits a junior project manager looking to take on serious responsibility. You will also have to sign an NDA due to the close proximity you have to funds very important IP. We are looking for consultants who want to take ownership of products and take considerable responsibility and the bonus that goes with that. The role progresses to a lead PM after a year and candidates can expect to run clients as a whole or move on to managing areas of the vendor.
