JOB DESCRIPTION:

A fantastic opportunity has become available in Staffordshire. The position is of a Housing Options Officer, it is a full Time role for a minimum of 3 months. As part of the role the candidate will be delivering front line services to customers through face-to-face interviewing and written correspondence including investigating and responding to Councillors and MP enquiries, home visits and access and health assessments. At the same the candidate will be providing effective, accurate, timely and impartial advice to households threatened with homelessness. Other duties will include making home visits and visits to other locations as necessary to assess possible homelessness and identify appropriate prevention options; and assessing and determining homelessness applications and ensuring the provision of appropriate advice, information and assistance as required. Candidate must have experience of liaising with landlords and partner agencies to minimise the risk of homelessness through effective resolution of disputes and issues and managing case load of homeless clients. A full UK Drivers License and access to a car is essential.
