JOB DESCRIPTION:

Helpdesk Support Role - Site Technician - Manchester - £25K - Windows Server Windows Server - DHCP - DNS - FTP - TCP/IP - Windows 7/8.1 - MCP - CCNA - MCSE - NIC - RAM - MCDST - LANDesk My client is a highly successful provider of technology-enabled testing and assessment solutions. They are looking for a site technician to provide support on-site and to a global network of computer based testing centres. You will work as a member of a global team in a fast paced environment to configure, setup and support; workstations, switches, routers, servers and printers to create a functional 8-50 node LAN for use in development, QC and production environments. Key Technical Skills: *Solid IT technical background in desktop, networking and server support. *Strong experience in installing , configuring and troubleshooting Windows Server. *Experience in installing computer hardware components such as hard drive, NIC, RAM etc. *Advanced technical installation and troubleshooting experience. *Ability to administer and configure computers in both a stand alone and network environment. *Experience with databases, server and desktop virtualisation would be helpful but not essential. *Experience with the use of LANDesk would be preferred. Windows Server - DHCP - DNS - FTP - TCP/IP - Windows 7/8.1 - MCP - CCNA - MCSE - NIC - RAM - MCDST - LANDesk Roles and Responsibilities: *Providing support to on-site users and to users in a global network of computer based testing centres. *Travel to other test centres in the EMEA region will be necessary. *Excellent customer service skills on the telephone and in person are essential. *Maintain high quality work whilst managing multiple critical projects.
