JOB DESCRIPTION:

LOCATION: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire JOB TITLE: Harvest Worker SALARY & BENEFITS: Basic salary depending on experience plus overtime WORKING HOURS: Flexible THE COMPANY: Our client is a large family run farm set on 1800 acres of arable land based in Peterborough, who specialise in all arable crops which include wheat, barley and oilseed rape in the summer and sugar beet in the winter months. Our client will be ready to recruit a Harvest Worker at the end of July ready for the start of the Harvest summer season. THE ROLE: Your role as a Harvest Worker will be to play your part in the harvest season. Your day will start by maintaining the machinery, then followed by grain carting and general harvest work in and out of Grainstores etc. Experience of large farm machinery essential. Key Responsibilities to include:- · To ensure that the tractor and trailer are work ready before work. · To adhere to all health and safety procedures as set by the employer. · To ensure that tractor and trailer are maintained to roadworthy standard. · To safely drive through the narrow village streets on route to the grain store. THE CANDIDATE: The successful applicant will be a hard working person who holds a flexible approach to the working day.. The Harvest Worker will have a helpful nature and won t be afraid to get stuck in where needed, working quickly, but accurately, to get the the job done . Key experience essential for the role: · A full UK driving licence is essential. · A proven tractor driving record with modern tractors and machinery. · Excellent communication skills · Previous harvest experience. · A flexible approach to adapt to working hours if the weather allows harvesting to continue.
