JOB DESCRIPTION:

Fork Lift Truck / Warehouse Operative We are looking to recruit an experienced FLT driver / Warehouse operative for an established Pocklington supply company. This is a temporary to permanent role on successful completion of a 12 week probationary period. The pay is £7.25 per hour & the hours of work will be 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday with possible overtime on evenings & weekends. An immediate start is available for the right applicant. To be considered for this role you must have the following:- • Current Forklift licence & recent experience in use of a Counter Balance Forklift • A full clean driving licence (occassional van delivery driving may be required) • Your own transport due to location • A good level of fitness - the products are agricultural so heavy lifting is required • ability to use own iniative - keeping the area clean & tidy, being aware of jobs which need to be completed • experience of using agricultural equipment would be ideal • a positive & flexible attitude - overtime may be available during busy periods (evenings & weekends) If you have the following skills as well you will even more suitable! • Telehandler experience • Experience in the agricultural industry • Mechanical skills The role will involve stacking large wooden boxes, emptying them into bulkers using the forklift. Supporting the warehouse team during washing, grading, bagging & loading the products - by making sure the euipment required is in good working order. Keeping the warehouse & yard tidy including some basic repairs, repairing boxes (wooden) & occassionally deliveries to customers. The work will include working indoors as well as outdoors & maybe dusty & dirty at times - this would suit someone from an agricultiral background.
