JOB DESCRIPTION:

Decorator / Painter / Property Maintenance Manchester Salary £21,848 per annum Our client owns and manages nearly 5000 high quality homes across in Manchester, Stockport, Tameside and Trafford. They are expanding their in-house maintenance team following a joint venture with another local housing association. As a result they are looking for experienced Decorators to join their Direct Labour Service. The purpose of this role is to provide a comprehensive painting and decorating service to the Group’s properties in accordance with the relevant safety regulations. Within this role, you will be responsible for identifying and rectifying defects in paintwork where required. You will prepare all walls and ceilings before you provide the paintwork needed and also burn off the old paintwork from timber, windows and doors. Where required you will be required to clean, treat and paint metal finishes, including doors and railings. The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role along with previous training. Holding an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent is desirable and you must have experience of maintenance work on domestic properties and also of the ordering of materials. With the ability to work in a variety of conditions, you will work well on your own and as part of a team. The successful applicant will also need a full UK driving license and possess a full well maintained tool kit at all times.
