My client, a leading UK Data Analytics, Big Data and Data Science Consultancy, working with global clients and with a reputation at the forefront of the world-wide data science community are seeking an outstanding Data Scientist to join their team of talented data scientists working from beautiful, hi-tech offices in the City of London. You will be working in a diverse variety of industries including some of the most hi-tech companies around the world who benefit from my client’s cutting edge solutions and relentless focus on innovation and continuous Data product improvement. Role Description and responsibilities: · You will support the Lead Data Scientist in identifying the business hypotheses and metrics. · You will map data sources to nerve hypotheses, variables and metrics. · You will work with the data science team to create variables and metrics. · You will conduct exploratory data analysis, create data visualisations and undertake initial statistical analyses in order to create predictive models. · Ultimately, you will translate commercial and business objectives into analytical targets and analytical outputs into cutting edge products that are showcased on a world stage and are solutions that transform companies and revolutionise industries.  Skills: · You will be an outstanding data scientist educated to PhD level in a quantitative field (or with comparable practical experience). · Able to work in a collaborative environment balancing the desire to experiment with the ability to deliver to project timetables. · A strong team player with excellent communication skills both internally and in a client facing capacity. · You will ideally have an advanced degree in a quantitative field to MSc or PhD level · Strong programming skills. · Background in Matlab, R, Python and ideally Scala/Spark. · Knowledge of SQL databases with an interest in NoSQL and Big Data technologies. · Proven experience of working in a commercial or project environment.
