JOB DESCRIPTION:

Credit Controller Exeter £18,000 Ref: 12173 My client is a hugely successful company that are one of the market leaders in their particular field. They have over 80 offices throughout the UK and due to their continued expansion they are currently looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join their existing team. Key responsibilities include: Building knowledge of and strong business relationships with the customers forming your ledger Making regular telephone contact with customers to ensure that invoices have been received and are being processed for payment within agreed terms Dealing with any queries and resolving on a timely basis, liaising with Sales Admin and/or rental branches as required. Chasing overdue payments, escalating as required to the Credit Control Manager and or Director level Identifying any problem accounts or debts and placing on stop or taking other preventative action in line with current procedures Issuing monthly statements to customers Maintaining up to date notes against each customer detailing actions taken and to be taken - diarising and following up as necessary. Monitoring customers on Credit Assessment software to identify changes in credit risk All of the above to drive down debtor days and maximise cash collections whilst maintaining a positive business relationship with customers and internal colleagues across the business. The successful Credit Controller: The successful candidate must have at least two years experience of working within Credit Control. You will be an excellent communicator and will have a proven ability to manage a changing workload within a fast-paced corporate environment.
