JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are a small Swedish agency in the UK that deal with stable staff and riders, we find work for capable people ready for paid work, involving horses, stable management, riding and grooms in the UK. Eire and Europe. We also have families looking for Mother s help, childcare and care for the elderly. All jobs are with free accommodation. Family Drewitt Combination job for child/horse care plus car driver starting as soon as possible We are a family of five, . Dad is a lawyer in London and I used to be but retired after having the children. We have a very busy family life as have a huge number of interests. We live in a village called Blackheath 5 minutes from the large town of Guildford with its many shops (some say better than London), cinema and restaurants. It also has a language school and our last two au pairs have attended it twice weekly. Our house has the best of both worlds it is rural in that we have 43 acres of fields and woodland and 4 ponies and 4 horses, sand school, tennis court and swimming pool but is so near to Guildford. We can ride horses and bike from the house on adjoining heathland for miles. Also a great place for running walking etc.The last au pair described it as idyllic! We have 4 horses and 4 ponies. 2 of the horses are competing at eventing one at a very high level with me. The other two horses are very nice youngsters (one lives out) one just broken and one a foal. The ponies are ridden by all 3 children and live out mainly. William adores polo, Oliver is about to start and Florence loves all types of riding. All the children really love their sport and animals. William captains the local rugby club s team and has done for three years and Oliver is also a very keen cricketer. They both also love football , tennis etc. Florence although younger adores riding, gymnastics, tennis and swimming. The boys also play piano (William and Oliver), trumpet(Oliver) and Oliver sings in the school choir. Oliver is also a keen chess player. We also have 2 dogs both black labradors Purdey and Pops. I have a full time groom who looks after the horses and the au pair I am looking for would be asked to do the following: One day a week do stable duties to help with the horses when Jodie has her day off. Usual stable duties, mucking out turning in and out of the field, feeding, cleaning tack and grooming. This is only for one day a week. The other days during school holidays you would help the children with their ponies and help look after the children so for example if I were taking Oliver to a cricket match you may swim with the children or play tennis with them or other games and maybe prepare a meal. You would during school time see less of the boys as they will then be at school until 6.15. You would look after the youngest whilst I pick up the boys, would do some school runs and would do the children s laundry, tidy away toys , play with my daughter and generally be a mother;s help. There is some sole charge as explained. In the mornings during school time you would tidy up the bedrooms of the children and put a wash in (about an hour)etc and 2 days you would go to college. I would then need you in the afternoons from 3ish to 7.30/8. AS I have said there is tidying up, after meals etc, toys away , bikes etc away, children s laundry, children s sports kit to help organise and a bit of meal prep for the
