JOB DESCRIPTION:

CAD Technician A great opportunity for a CAD Technician to join this Civil & Structural Engineering company based in Hadlow, Tonbridge, Kent. Working alongside a professional team of graduate and chartered engineering consultants with other CAD Technicians, you will be translating information into graphical and pictorial information, in order that contractors are able to build the required project on site. BdR encourage each member of staff to continually develop their professional skills for the benefit of the individual and the company. Working in this close knit team, where team members share their knowledge, enables the development of the best and most efficient designs for the client. - Main Activities - Drafting o General assembly o Sections and details o Reinforcement details - Liaising with engineers and clients - Liaising with architects - Providing use of AutoCAD systems - To provide appropriate feedback to the scheme Project Manager - To contribute to the development of BdR Required Skills and Knowledge - AutoCAD (ESSENTIAL) - Microsoft Word - Microsoft Excel - Understanding of RC detailing and BS standards - Good understanding of, concrete, timber and steel - Good understanding of material connection details etc. Would be Desirable - Knowledge of Tekla Structures - Knowledge of Revit - CADS RC Company Overview BdR Civil & Structural Engineering Limited is a Consulting Engineering practice carrying out the design and supervision of a broad range of civil and structural engineering projects.
