JOB DESCRIPTION:

CAD Technician INTRODUCTION Working to deadlines alongside the design team to produce high quality drawings. DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES - Production of drawings using hand mark ups from preliminary status through Tender, Construction and As Installed. - Co-ordination between Architectural, Structural and Building Services drawings. - Working to project deadlines. - Type of drawings include: Layout plans, Sections, Elevations, Details and Schematics. - Liaison with the Mechanical and Electrical Engineers. - Builderswork - production of detailed dimension drawings. - Co-ordination - Ensuring all services are synchronised. - Taking responsibility for electronic filing of drawings and documents received via email or disk. - Issuing of drawings. - Organise all internal and external printing runs. - Create xrefs for project use. - Contribution to CAD standards. MECHANICAL - Domestics - Heating - Drainage - Ventilation - Gas - Compressed Air - Utilities - Plant Layouts ELECTRICAL - Lighting - Controls - Power - Fire Alarm - Containment - Lightning Protection - CCTV - Security SOFTWARE - Autocad - EXCEL - Autodesk 360 - Adobe - Word - BIW/Buzzsaw PERSON SPECIFICATION - Previous experience of producing AutoCAD M&E services drawings for new build and refurbishment projects - Ability to prioritise workload according to deadlines - IT Literate - ability to use AutoCAD essential and IES desirable - Ability to work unsupervised - Good communication skills & ability to work in a team. - Revit MEP training would be advantageous.
