JOB DESCRIPTION:

Asset Protection Engineer (Sewerage) Leicester or Wolverhampton £34,000 Our client is seeking an Asset Protection Engineer to join there expanding team, the successful candidate will be responsible for helping customers obtain development driven waste water services without adversely affecting the performance of the existing sewerage systems. Reporting to the Asset Protection Manager, the role holder will be responsible for detailed evaluation of customer s proposals and provision of solutions to ensure that new developments are provided with sustainable drainage so as not to adversely affect the public sewerage system. This will involve liaising with public utility companies, highway authorities, developers and other customers to provide a detailed evaluation of NRSWA/EA/Highway Authorities proposals for connections to public sewers, sewer adoption, diversion, requisition/S101A proposals for impact on public sewers. Additional duties include close interaction with New Connections and Asset Creation to provide expert advice on technical, legal and regulatory issues. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a working knowledge of the design and operation of sewerage systems and detailed knowledge of sewer adoption, building over, connection, diversion, requisition, S101A processes. Knowledge and experience in the use of IT systems such as SAP/GISST, a good level of numeracy/literacy skills and the ability to prioritise workloads and devise solutions is essential. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both the internal team, internal and external stakeholders so as to build and develop relationships.
