Join a global leader – and help to build a safer World You are You are educated within supply chain management,logistic or similar with at least 3 – 5 years of relevant experience within purchasing, inventory management, material-handling, planning and optimizing logistical processes Ideally, you have gained a lot of experience within procurement, demand- and supply chain planning, optimizing of supply chain processes with an “end to end” approach. The job Right now VIKING is strengthening the procurement team, and that is why we are looking for a Purchaser /Procurement Coordinator in our Procurement and Global Planning department. As a Purchaser/Procurement Coordinator, you will Refer to the Manager of Procurement & Global Planning and you will contribute to the important work, we do in having the responsibility in securing the right material availability and inventory levels. What you’ll be doing: Execute national and international purchases Follow up on vendors and deliveries Impose ABC-categorization Determine re-order point and safety stock Provide an overview over the development of demand within your catagory Provide an overview regarding the inventory level and turnover rate Participate in various optimization projects within supply chain Work closely with the strategic sourcing team and product management. In a truly global organization as ours, good spoken and written communication skills in Danish and English are necessary. Analytical skills and experience in Microsoft Excel and SAP would be an advantage in this job. Why VIKING?
