JOB DESCRIPTION:

1 PR Strategist (f/m) (1442) Your main responsibilities: - Be the brand ambassador for MORECAST and act as a missionary to build the brand with internal and external key opinion leaders by leveraging your networks, contacts, internal networks and building new networks in our key markets. - Develop and implement audience-centric, multi-pronged public and media relations campaigns in support of our strategic priorities. - Monitor issues across all media platforms to identify trends and actionable areas in which weather information can be inserted appropriately to help determine public relations strategies and opportunities. - Develop public and media relations plan components including: build up a webpage press center, issue-specific multimedia press kits, onsite and online press conferences, news releases, talking points, media advisories, biographies, public statements, letters to the editor, opinion pieces, satellite and radio media tours, video and social media communications. - Establish and maintain strong working relationships with weather journalists, bloggers, storm chasers and other key opinion leaders. - Triage and respond immediately to media inquiries and forward them to the media meteorologists. - Help cultivate original story ideas keyed to our strategic priorities. - Identify PR opportunities via story telling, story seeding and relationship management with top media and drive successful implementation. - As you will be highly accountable for our success, you should possess outstanding presentation and interview skills, providing background information for media interactions. The PR strategist provides ongoing strategic communications counsel to the C-level management team. - Act as a project manager for public relations campaigns and collaborative partners. - Possess strong coordination skills to empower various stakeholders inside UBIMET to support our PR and storytelling efforts. We are looking for a success-oriented personality who has: - A university degree in business administration, marketing or communications; specialized in public relations or external communications. - 5-7 years of working experience in public relations or in strategic communications for digital or mobile brands in a dynamic company within a technological and international environment; high IT affinity. - A structured way of working, able to prioritize and work objective-based. - A high level of enthusiasm, engagement, commitment and passion that spreads contagiously to those working with you. - A flexible approach as well as the ability to work well under pressure and deliver constant high performance outputs. - Fluent and a native speaker in German and/or English and possess excellent communication skills. - You have a proven track record of establishing relationships with key influencers in the mobile and digital media landscape in the United States, United Kingdom and Germany. - Not only are you knowledgeable about key digital and mobile communication trends, but also you already successfully placed stories in key digital media outlets such as TechCrunch, Mashable, Wired or others.
