NÁPLŇ PRÁCE:

Title: PCB Engineer         Purpose of Role: The Customer Service team investigate faults on PCBs and repairs them if possible. The role will be to investigate PCBs rejected from production, recording the faults, repairing the PCBs and sending fault reports to the relevant subcontract PCB manufacturers. From time to time you will also assist other departments with PCB fault finding, prototype builds and repairs, i.e. R&D, Production, Test and Production Engineering. Dimensions of Role: To repair as many reject PCBs as possible in order to reduce PCB wastage. Reporting your findings to subcontract PCB manufacturers and forge a good working relationship with them to help reduce the amount of PCB faults. Reporting Relationships: Reports to Customer Service Manager. Key Accountabilities: % of time Accountability: Measure of Success: 75 To repair rejected PCBs to component level. Percentage/Number of PCBs repaired correctly. 20 Recording of faults and compiling reports for subcontract PCB manufacturers Decrease in the percentage of PCB rejects from production. 5 To assemble prototype PCBs and bespoke test jigs. Satisfaction of R&D dept. Key Relationships: To liaise with other members of the Customer Service team as well as subcontract PCB manufacturers, R&D, Test manager and Test Department staff. Key Challenges: To work on the common goal of reducing the number of reject PCBs on the production line. To reduce the number of stored reject PCBs. To compile reports of PCB faults for subcontract PCB manufacturers and liaise with them to reduce the percentage of rejected PCBs from Production. Person Specification: Educational requirements: minimum of BTEC HNC in Electronics Good practical experience of PCB fault finding to components level. Good soldering skills working with surface mount components Excellent ability to read circuit diagrams Self starter and ability to use initiative Able to work as part of a team Good communication skills Meticulous with attention to detail Able to use Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)   For more information or to apply for this role email - 01223 314 988
