ZAKRES PRACY:

A market leading FMCG organisation, based in Hereford are seeking a Lab Technician to join them on an initial 3 month contract, working 24 hours per week. The purpose of the role is to monitor the factory working environment and products for microbiological and analytical activity. The organisation are a well-established manufacturer of high quality consumer goods. They are leaders within their industry and are therefore seeking an industry experienced Lab Technician who can use their knowledge and experience to support the existing team. As a Lab Technician, your main duties will include: • Taking, analysing and reporting on samples, service equipment, ingredients and products. • Calibrating test equipment according to ISO 9002 work instructions. • Commissioning new laboratory equipment including writing test methods and work instructions where applicable. • Creating reports via the required spreadsheets and databases i.e. SAP and MS Excel. • Using systems to accumulate data and generate reports on fats, moistures, total solids and losses to support internal trending and recipe control. The role requires a high level of attention to detail and the confidence to work independently, to make key decisions e.g. determining when tests should be repeated and what confirmation tests are necessary. The job would benefit from knowledge and experience gained through the completion of an ONC (or equivalent) in Science, including Microbiology, or Laboratory Technician NVQ level 3 (or equivalent). Along with first hand, industry experience in using Laboratory Techniques. You will also need a strong understanding of root cause and corrective/preventative action tools such as 5 whys, to actively support the NCR process when reporting results.
