The Public Sector team within Technology Risk Consulting provides services to a range of UK Public Sector clients including those in Central and Local Government, Health, Housing and Education. We are often required to provide specialist IT assurance support to other teams within KPMG. Our clients in the Public Sector are facing significant challenges and are turning to technology solutions to assist. They are constantly being asked to do more for less. A Senior Manager within the team would typically be responsible for driving growth in one or more specific areas of our business as part of a team, developing new business from existing clients and new prospects, building deep and enduring relationships with blue chip organisations and establishing themselves as a subject matter expert in their chosen field. In this case we are looking for a Senior Manager to lead our Midlands and South West based team with a strong advisory skill set. Responsibilities. - The responsibilities attributable to this role will include some or all of the following:. - Be responsible for developing our Technology services in a specific sector, eg UK Central Government or Higher Education. - Developing internal networks and maintaining excellent relationships with colleagues across KPMG, in particular with colleagues working within the Public Sector clients in the Midlands. - Building and managing excellent networks and client relationships (typically at CIO, CFO or Head of Internal Audit level) across a range of organisations. - Actively identifying and progressing business development opportunities, as well as managing sales activities such as responding to ITTs, bid management, proposal writing and client presentations. - Responsibility for the overall output from client engagements. - Overseeing the scoping, financial management, managing delivery risk, production and review of deliverables. - Coaching and developing team members both as part of our overall Performance Management process or on specific engagements. - Contributing to practice management, eg training, knowledge management in your area of expertise. - Management of specific value added services.
