SEN Teaching Assistant required for EBD Support in Primary School We are seeking to appoint a talented SEN teaching assistant to join a small and friendly primary school in Sheffield. The role is to start as soon as possible on a full time basis. You must have 6 months prior experience in a similar primary setting, ideally providing support to pupils who have disengaged from education, with a variety of needs such as ADHD, Autism and emotional difficulties. The role will be to support the pupil on a 1:1 basis alongside the class teachers in line with the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum. You must have experience providing motivational support and have the ability to apply postitive behaviour strategies in order to promote progression and engagement with their learning. This post is extremely rewarding and the right person will need to be dedicated and proactive. Knowledge of Team Teach of MAPA would be advantageous. A positive and flexible approach is essential. You must demonstrate a strong ability to use your own initiative, build good relationships with students and establish positive behaviour for learning.
