ZAKRES PRACY:

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB To effectively manage the operation of the day and evening cleaning teams, the role will be based at in Croydon. The Cleaning Supervisor will be required to set and monitor routine and ad-hoc cleaning duties. RESPONSIBILITIES PERSONAL EFFECTIVENESS: *Provides strong leadership and technical expertise to the team, maintaining existing procedures and continuously supporting improvement. *Demonstrate a professional attitude at all times, leading by example and being an effective and motivational leader *Show a determined approach to resolving cleaning problems. *Improve response times for any reported cleaning requirements. *Recommends measures to improve conditions and operations of machinery and equipment. *Update cleaning manuals to ensure the latest procedures are always recorded and the team are fully trained in their use. *Self-motivated, organised and enthusiastic with a flexible attitude and approach to work as well as the ability to work on own initiative *Must have an up to date understanding of the current Health & Safety Guidelines *Suggest improvements and ways to increase re-cycling capability. DEPARTMENT MANAGEMENT: 1.Supervise the cleaning team and conduct performance reviews of cleaning staff 2.Mentor and guide permanent and contract cleaning staff 3.Manage staff rotas to ensure cleaning cover is provided during the core business hours over the seven days a week 4.Complete Key Performance Indicators and report to the Facilities Manager current work load, priorities and status of jobs currently being worked on. 5.Manage and order cleaning materials 6.Arrange for collection and disposal of waste materials COMMUNICATION: 1.Smart, presentable and approachable with excellent communication skills as well as the ability to liaise comfortably and appropriately with all levels of the business 2.Work effectively and efficiently within the team, ensuring good time management at all times 3.Apply a helpful and courteous manner towards both customers and colleagues, being reliable, supportive and flexible as the business demands and being a role model to the rest of the team KEY COMPETENCIES: 1.Must be computer/Ipad literate 2.Fork Lift Truck licence is required but not essential as training for a licence can be given 3.Is able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of cleaning procedures 4.Ability to understand and follow standard guidelines and manuals as well as accurately completing records as needed 5.Must be able to demonstrate a strong knowledge and consideration for Health / Safety and Fire prevention within the workplace. 6.Recent Cleaning experience (minimum 5 years) 7.Shows a desire to continually develop the team and their own skills 8.Good level of general health and fitness to enable various kinds of manual work including some heavy lifting 9.The role is based on a 40 hour working week Monday to Friday, however a degree of flexibility will be required as some weekend and evening work will sometimes be required.
