If so, my client, one of the largest consultancies in the world, is looking for Financial Manager (Banking, IFRS 9, Function Transformations, Commercial Risk) to become part of their team. A successful Financial Manager (Banking, IFRS 9, Function Transformations, Commercial Risk) will have good interpersonal skills and have strong financial knowledge. Candidates will also possess the following Qualifications and Skills: Qualified accountant or relevant work experience (ACA/ACCA is preferable); Experience working on accounting change and / or IFRS 9 programmes; Impairment process experience desirable; Good understanding of how the IFRS 9 standard impacts our clients, primarily financial institutions; Good analytical skills in relation to impairment techniques; Strong work ethic, and professional and personable; Strong Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills. Visio skills would be desirable but not essential; Ability to complete IFRS 9 client deliverables Good interpersonal skills Knowledge of Finance processes, in particularly accounting processes and / or reporting requirements advantageous; A successful candidate will also possess; Assist with the preparation / setup of IFRS 9 client opportunities and maintenance of live IFRS 9 engagements; Identify the operational implications of regulatory and accounting change which includes impact on data & technology, processes/controls/governance and people; Assist with the design / build / implementation of IFRS 9 target operating models Support the development KPMG’s IFRS 9 proposition/client offering, and assisting in the responses to IFRS 9 client RFPs, with a primary focus on financial services (in particular banking clients) but also potentially with other industries; Writing client reports based on analytical exercises (data and process reviews, stakeholder interview) to present findings and recommendations; Commercial risk management; and Managing and mentoring engagement team members. Actively contribute to the IFRS 9 team’s knowledge management; Help to define requirements for new solutions and assets; Work with the Financial Management team to sell / deliver financial management solutions; Support change programmes and projects outside the IFRS 9 space once implementation is completed in 2018; Interact with current and target clients; Support business development initiatives, both internally and with clients; Build and maintain client relationships; and Monitor, coach and develop others you work with on other non-IFRS 9 engagements.
