Aufgabenbereich:

Department of Clinical Experimental Research, Glostrup Research Institute, Copenhagen University Hospital, Glostrup, Denmark We are looking for outstanding and highly motivated candidates with a strong background in retinal ischemia, molecular biology and intracellular signalling pathways.  We employ a wide range of different biochemical methods and animal models of ischemia to address our scientific questions. Contributions to the development of methods for achieving data of different origin and quality are desirable. The primary responsibility includes conducting research with a clear translational focus. We are at the moment in the process of expanding our research on brain ischemia to include the retina. The project, which includes the project for the present announced post doc position, emphasizes on ischemic alterations of the retinal vessels using various ischemic animal models. Qualifications: For applications a qualification equivalent to a PhD is requested from all applicants. Particular emphasis will be placed on scientific qualifications within retinal ischemia and molecular biology. Earlier research in general neuroscience, animal models and signal transduction is desirable. An ability and interest to develop methodology and good knowledge of signalling pathways is considered a merit. Also experiences with collaboration with the industry, and popular science publishing are positive. Good collaborative ability is appreciated. The postdoc position is a 2 year position. The starting date will be after agreement. Application: The CV including a publication list, copy of latest degree certificate, copies of no more than five publications, and a description of previous research and other activities of relevance for the position (maximum two pages).
