Then join Device Manufacturing Development as Device Engineer for Prefilled Product Maintenance. About the department You will join a team of dedicated and highly competent colleagues and be at the crossroad between Device Research & Development (R&D), Quality and Production. The team is supporting the entire range of Novo Nordisk prefilled device products, and the technical product knowledge is anchored here. The team is responsible for the device design of the marketed products and we own the Quality Specifications and test methods for the devices. We drive numerous projects related to the above areas, as well as within SOP compliance, standardisations, training and follow-up on quality activities. The job You can look forward to a role with high impact on the end products that reach the patient. As Device Engineer for Product Maintenance, you own specific devices’ product documentation e.g. drawings, specifications and risk analysis and you know the mechanical design of the devices inside out. You respond to inquiries from stakeholders all over the world and you the criticality of device failures described in customer complaints and non-conformities from the production lines. You keep the product documentation updated and you participate in quality optimisation projects, where you plan and coordinate technical investigations with our laboratories. Furthermore, you make sure that the experience and good practices gained from the market and from the production are incorporated in new development projects. You will get the chance to interact with a large number of contacts including production sites, R&D, QA, regulatory affairs, customer service and affiliates. Qualifications You hold an Engineering degree – preferably within mechanics or plastics. You may have combined your technical background with employment in a comparable job, either within development or production of medical devices, injection moulding design or similar. You are familiar with CAD, preferably PTC Creo Parametric. Knowledge of GMP, medical devices or Geometrical Product Specifications (GPS) will be an advantage. On a personal level, you are quality-conscious, and you have an analytical and systematic approach to your tasks, enabling you to prioritize and plan as required. To succeed, it is vital that you can establish an open and constructive dialogue to a large number of contacts. You must be able to cope with being challenged by your stakeholders and balance when to stand your ground and when to compromise in order to find the best possible solutions for the products in the organisational setup. Lastly, you enjoy sharing your knowledge and best practices with the rest of the team. Solid spoken and written English skills are required.
