Job Title: Registered Home Manager Location: Gloucester Salary: £28,000- £35000 Job Description: The Registered Home Manager is responsible for running all aspects of the home including leading a team, supervising, training and developing care staff in providing the best quality of care to the people being supported. You will be running all aspects of the home including managing budgets for staffing, training and renovations. Job Requirements: * Ensure that the regulatory bodies'' standards are achieved and that all staff are trained to this level. * Ensure that all documentation and nursing records are maintained and that a programme of meaningful activities is available to residents. * Implement appropriate systems to ensure compliance with requirements * To develop and maintain the necessary working relationships with management and functional colleagues throughout the company. * Ensure the Home meets all legal and statutory requirements including those related to fire regulations, health and safety at work, licensing, weights and measures, trading standards, employment, Care Standard Act and that all appropriate statutory notices are displayed. * Ensure that HR liaise with the relevant departments to ensure the Home management and staff are inducted, trained, motivated and supported to achieve company standards and the highest levels of care and customer service. * Works with local and regional management to develop and implement new services within the unit. * Be responsible for achieving the agreed budget. * Ensure that the home maintains high standards of cleanliness and that it meets all legal, statutory and company requirements. Set standards of services that are exemplary and consistently implemented. * Staff- Full managerial responsibility for a team of staff undertaking relevant role at various levels. * Budgets & equipment- Responsibility for the homes budget and authority to authorise payments. * Informatics- Takes ownership of, and responsibility for, all aspects of the Home''s business performance. * Marketing the service to fill any beds within the home. Necessary Skills and Qualifications: * A detailed knowledge of the statutory requirements associated with care for adults with Learning Difficulties and Mental Health Issues is essential. * You should also be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of the key business activities associated with a residential home. * A strong background of successful home management is essential, preferably with knowledge of new home commissioning and leading excellence in care. * Organise and prioritise work around the operational needs of the unit. * Communication and inter-personal skills are a key feature of the role which will usually involve activities such as counselling and interviewing. * Have completed or working towards National Diploma Level 5 in Health Social Care * Registered Home Manager Award is essential * IT literate with Microsoft packages Features and Benefits: * Company Pension Scheme * Working hours Monday- Friday 0900-1700 (flexible) however required to cover shortfalls where necessary * My client is a leading company within the Gloucestershire area for providing support to children and young adults aged between 6-16 years with emotional, social and behavioural difficulties. * If you are looking for a rewarding role within a reputable business, where you are rewarded for hard work and dedication, this is the right role for you to help transform the lives of the people who use this service.
