Global Head of Compliance - HFT / Propriety Trading Compliance, HFT, High Frequency Trading, Propriety Trading, Prop Trading, MiFID, MiFID 2 A Global High Frequency Trading firm is looking to hire a new Global Head of Compliance and Risk to help them prepare for the upcoming introduction of Mifid II. You will need to be someone who can be the face of the firm to the FCA and be able to help standardise all of their documentation and procedures moving forward. In this role you will be responsible for all compliance throughout the business on a global scale, the successful candidate must have dealt with the FCA directly as well as other regulatory authorities to gain a firm understanding of requirements. The companys offices are based both in the UK and the States so you will need to be able to travel regularly to fulfil the role in full. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to: Review new regulations and changes of rules impacting the firms offices ensuring that policy and procedures are in place to run effectively Creating, updating and drafting new compliance policies Review all materials that will be used for marketing and internal and external purposes Compliance and regulatory training to all employees on related issues Management of Internal and External compliance consultants Key skill and experience: Firm understanding of MiFID & MiFID 2 requirements within a HFT environment Exceptional working knowledge of FCA rules and regulations Direct contact from regulators - FCA & OFAC Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills The ability to prioritise high work volume and delegate where necessary Vendor and external supplier management If you have a strong personality with the ability to carry out all the requirements needed above then this is the role for you, you will be given the autonomy to carry out all compliance requirements needed to fulfil this role correctly.
