Job Description: LOCATION: Based in Truro, Cornwall JOB TITLE: Business Development Advisors SALARY & BENEFITS: £21,862 - £26,140 depending on experience WORKING HOURS: 37 hours per week. Some flexibility is required THE COMPANY: Our client, established in 1993, is a tertiary college of further education and have a reputation for being responsive, innovative and flexible in its work with local businesses. THE ROLE: An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced Business Development Advisors to join the existing team in Truro. The purpose of the position is to manage and maintain a sector specific portfolio developing new and existing customers. One of the posts will have a focus on the Health & Social Care and Voluntary sectors. Key Responsibilities of the Business Development Advisor to include:- * Attending pre-booked appointments * Presentation of training solutions and products available for employers * Develop and cultivate relationships with clients to senior management level * Proactively manage contract renewals that grow value and secure retention of client relationship * Identify clients training and development requirements and develop cost effective strategies for business growth * Deliver agreed targets for the clients by creating client specific business and account plans * Achieve agreed KPIs, learner volume and meet revenue and growth targets *Please note, this is not be an exhaustive list of your day-to-day duties* THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate will be an experienced Business Development Advisor with a proven record in business-to-business sales and the development of strategies for clients. You will be a self-motivated individual with a confident and professional attitude and the ability to build strong relationships. You will be able to demonstrate effective negotiation skills, strong communication skills and the ability to work well to targets whilst under pressure. Key experience required for the Business Development Advisor role: * Proven face-to-face sales experience in a business-to-business environment (Essential) * Previous experience developing strategies with clients to enhance business growth (Essential) * IT literacy at intermediate level or above in Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint (Essential * Full driving licence and access to your own transport (Essential) * NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Advice and Guidance (Desirable) Does this sound like you?
